Three CHS students volunteered their time to bring donuts, coffee, and pizza January 9 to the Clovis Police Department to give thanks for all their hard work.

Seniors Holly Ravizza, Hannah Ravizza, and Ashley Carter all went to bring four dozen donuts, coffee, and pizza to night shift workers. In addition, they made a large banner that said “We love the police department,” with Clovis High, Clark, and other local feeder schools names listed.

Holly doesn’t believe police officers get enough appreciation for all their hard work and thinks “they definitely felt appreciated that they got these things.”

“[We] wanted them to start off their day knowing that people around the community appreciate them and are thankful for what they do,” said Carter. “It is a nice distraction from all the things going around on social media about cops and the aggressive force that has been taken on by innocent cops around the world.”

Bullard Donuts donated three dozen donuts and a few local Starbucks locations donated the coffee. Sunnyside Taekwondo also helped offer appreciation in the process.
