This year’s World Series is a high octane matchup of youth and big hits as the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Houston Astros take on each other to see who will take home the Commissioner’s Trophy. With the series tied 1-1 and game three tonight in Houston, the series is sure to be a fan favorite.

Both teams have faced a difficult road and season to get to this point, but the team that deserves to win the most is the Astros. Saying they’ll win is an over statement, but the Astros deserve the World Series title.

The Astros have only been to two World Series, that’s including this one. The Astros Have been questioned throughout the season due to their youth. Some wonder whether they’ll be able to handle this caliber of play and environment, but so far they have.

Led by the Astros young stars, second baseman Jose Altuve and shortstop Carlos Correa, the team has been making big plays at big moments, making jaw-dropping plays left and right, and absolutely demolishing opposing pitchers.

Not to mention pitcher Justin Verlander is embarrassing batters and is having one of his better career stints since getting traded to the Astros late into the season.

This is a team full of first timers and people who just want to enjoy and take advantage of the moment. But I don’t think they’ll win the World Series.

Why? Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw is by far the best pitcher in the MLB. When he does good, the team does good. When he strikes people out, his hitters put runs on the board. That was proven in game one of the series.

Kershaw pitched seven innings only allowing one run and striking out eleven batters, absolutely dismantling the Astro hitters.

Now what happens when Kershaw pitches well? You guessed it, his hitters hit.

Third baseman Justin Turner hit a two-run homerun off pitcher Dallas Keuchel which was the determining factor in game one as the Dodgers won 3-1.

But it’s not just Kershaw, the whole bullpen is good. They have lowest combined ERA in the playoffs and knocked off the defending champs Chicago Cubs in the NLCS. The Dodgers are the best team in this series and they’ll win the series.

My prediction for the series is the Dodgers win the series 4-2 to earn their first World Series title in nearly 30 years.
