When NFL teams head into training camp during the summer, all of them have one goal: win the Super Bowl. In order to do that, they must first make the playoffs.

Heading into Week 15 of the regular season, most teams know where they stand in regards to their chances of making the playoffs.

12 of the 32 NFL teams have the opportunity of showing off their skills in the postseason; six teams from the American Football Conference (AFC) and six from the National Football Conference (NFC) will have played well enough to make the playoffs.

The AFC and NFC are split into four divisions (East, West, North, and South) with the leading team in each division making the playoffs. This leaves two spots in each conference still open for “wild card” teams, or the teams with the best record who do not lead their division.

With just three weeks remaining in the regular season, drama is sure to ensue with playoff spots still up for grabs.

After Week 14, the NFC playoff picture includes: 1. Philadelphia Eagles (11-2), 2. Minnesota Vikings (10-3), 3. Los Angeles Rams (9-4), 4. New Orleans Saints (9-4), 5. Carolina Panthers (9-4), and 6. Atlanta Falcons (8-5).

The AFC picture includes: 1. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-2), 2. New England Patriots (10-3), 3. Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4), 4. Kansas City Chiefs (7-6), 5. Tennessee Titans (8-5), and 6. Buffalo Bills (7-6).

However, these spots are not yet set as many teams still have a chance to sneak their way into the postseason.

In the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks (8-5), Dallas Cowboys (7-6), Detroit Lions (7-6), Green Bay Packers (7-6), and Arizona Cardinals (6-7) are still in the hunt.

In the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens (7-6), Los Angeles Chargers (7-6), Oakland Raiders (6-7), and Miami Dolphins (6-7) still have their playoff hopes alive.

These next few weeks will separate the good teams from the great teams and if you are a fan of football, it will be exciting to tune in and pay close attention to these teams.
