The Cougars lost to Buchanan 2-0 in the Tri-River Athletic Conference semifinals on February 20.

Hoping to make it to the Valley Championship game, the girls fell short this past Tuesday. They played strong through the whole season and were ranked third whereas Buchanan was ranked second.

Buchanan will move onto the Championship game.

The game started out with the Cougars dominating the field but not quite getting the ball in the goal. Evidently Buchanan ended up dominating the majority of the game.

Sophomore Brooklin Woolf says the loss will give the team something more to fight for next year because “even before [she] was on varsity [the team] had been so close to getting to Valley’s or winning Valley’s.”

In their three games against Buchanan throughout the season, the girls lost two and tied one.

The Cougars finished the season with five wins, three losses, and 2 ties in League. Overall the team had eleven wins, seven losses and three ties.
